Filled Gummy Bears – What Are They And Why Is Everyone Going Crazy About Them?

Gummies have been popular for several decades now, and for a good reason.

First came bears; then worms; soon followed frogs, polar bears, sharks, and tarantulas. And kids, teenagers and adults all love them!

This fruity snack was born in Germany in 1922.  The American gummy craze began when high school students learned about the candy in their German classes.  The first American-made gummy bear was born in 1981.

Once different gummy shapes, colors and characters were introduced, it was time to bring something different and exciting – welcome to the world of filled gummies!

Filled gummies will tickle your taste buds.  They are the elevated gummies.

Filled gummy bears that come in blueberry, cherry and green apple flavor are a great and quite unique addition to a gummy bear collection.

LOTG_Pic1Each gummy bear is covered with a fine sour sugar, a wonderful way to start enjoying this candy.  Its chewy exterior hides a perfectly tart liquid watermelon filling.

The fun doesn’t stop there; the bottom is of light green foam, and the top of the gummy bear slightly translucent, allowing you to see the delicious filling.

Then there are filled gummy sea animals.  They are vibrantly colored and include a strawberry-flavored seashell, a blueberry-flavored turtle and a grape-flavored starfish.

LOTG_Pic2All of these gummy sea animals are coated in fine sour sand.  Once you bite through the chewy, tart exterior, a bright red sour cherry filling bursts into your mouth.  The top portion of the seashell and turtle is translucent so that the bright red filling is visible.  The bottom of each gummy is a bright yellow foam.

Filled gummies are fun, delicious, and very interesting sweet snacks.  Try them today, and you’ll see (literally) and taste why everyone is crazy about them!
